| I've rolled 500 or so chromes looking for 4 red and 2 green sockets on this. 3 reds reds have come up about 4 times. Is there a better way? I know it is possible. I bought this one previously. | Are you sure you never accidentally rolled over it? It should only take an average of ~10.6 attempts to get 4R2G. The chance to not get that in 500 attempts is abysmally low. The combined chance for that is about 0.000000000000000000028%. And no, those are not too many zeroes. It is not impossible, but it's EXTREMELY unlikely. Chromatics are definitely the most cost efficient way of obtaining this configuration. If you want something more reliable that is complete overkill for something that should be this easy to colour, you can craft 3 red sockets with your crafting bench, and if that does not give you 4 red sockets, you can use Harvest to "Reforge the colour of a non-Red socket on an item, turning it Red". And if you get a blue socket instead you can keep turning all sockets red with that Harvest craft and then turn two of them green with the respective other version of it. I do not recommend this and this is a complete waste of currency, time, and Harvest crafts because your desired configuration is the fifth most likely result. | Posted by Quote this Post |
| Thanks! I'm pretty sure I did not miss a 4 red roll. I tend to go slow and watch carefully. On my bench it takes 120 chromes to guarantee 3 reds. | That person kind of trolled you. They likely saw the str requirement from the gem and put that in the calculation for the odds to get 4 red. However for rolling socket colors its just the base requirements of the armor that matter. In this case its a pure dex base so it prefers green sockets. You either need to spam 2 red or 3 red from the crafting bench or if you want to be crazy you can socket craft the colors but you would destroy the 6 link. | Posted by Quote this Post |
